En Soffer (b.2003) is a Baltimore-based artist that combines pixel art painting and sewing techniques to explore themes of isolation and existence through interpersonal exchanges. They are currently attending the Maryland Institute College of Art, projected to earn their Bachelor’s of Fine Art in the spring of 2025, and their Master’s of Arts in Teaching in the spring of 2026. An extensive history of moving to several different places throughout their life as a Black biracial American has taught them to know cultural barriers and community. The sights, sounds, and feelings from life in Costa Rica and Italy inform their visuals. Pixel art as a medium reflects nostalgia and memory, with words sewn in that reflect the ephemeral nature of human connection.
